Hello ,

You may have noticed that our newsletter has a new look — and as a member of Équiterre, you’re among the first to receive it.

Our goal of this refreshed format is simple: to improve how we share information with you, and to highlight, quickly and effectively, the concrete impact of your support.

At the end of this email, you can let us know whether you like the new format. We'd appreciate your feedback to help us build a newsletter that is increasingly relevant and useful for you.

And once again, thank you for your support — for making our work possible. If you are a monthly or annual donor, your tax receipt was emailed to you on Monday, February 2.

Before diving in, a quick note on language: A lot of the content that Équiterre creates, as well the media coverage of our work, is in French. We try to translate our content where possible, and have always sent an English version of our newsletter, but with this new format, some elements cannot be translated. We know that many of our anglophone supporters are happy to read French as well, so here it is! Please feel free to leave a comment with regards to language in the feedback form. We will continue to adapt and do our best to respond to the needs of our supporters.

Without further ado, here is an overview of Équiterre's key action areas and positions over the past few weeks.

We hope you enjoy!

For our fossil fuel champions, every event that disrupts the “normal” course of things—an economic crisis, a pandemic, or the emergence of an authoritarian regime south of the border—is an opportunity to demand the construction of a pipeline that will miraculously solve every conceivable problem.(...)
