We got some big news yesterday: the Bay du Nord oil project has been postponed for 3 years! There’s still work to be done to ensure that this project - which runs counter to our climate and biodiversity preservation targets - is ultimately abandoned, but we’ll see to it. Thanks to all those who have taken action with us against the project!

Food

Towards more autonomy, from field to table

Images bulletin juin 2023_actu2
  • Why are we focusing on food autonomy? We’d like to see updates to Quebec’s bio-food policy. Though not well known by the general public, this policy sets the direction for the entire sector, from what we grow in our fields to what we put on our plates. It can guide fundamental changes in the way we produce, process and consume our food.
  • A clear definition: We need to feed Quebecers first, and we need to do it efficiently. The way in which we define our food autonomy must be in line with the challenges of the coming decades.

Transportation

Electrifying our school buses is a great example for our children

  • The goal: In 2040, children across Canada will head to school in electric school buses.

  • The benefits: Reduced air and noise pollution at our schools, in addition to the economic benefits — Équiterre is working to make this goal a reality!
